:: Episode 203: But Nishiura Is Dirtier
Sankaisen (Third Match)
Summary
The evil team known as Nishiura is just about to start their evil training of evil when Sakaeguchi approaches Mihashi and asks him if there was something (probably evil) he wanted to say. Abe naturally barges in on them and DEMANDS to know what they're talking about. The three of them proceed to talk about Mihashi refusing whenever Abe tells him to switch out. Mihashi wants Abe to simply stop catching if it happens again in order to snap him out of it. The three of them agree that if Mihashi is unable to pitch they'll lose anyway, so they'll do whatever it takes to keep that from happening. While Abe explodes in Mihashi's face again, Sakaeguchi wonders why Mihashi is fussing so much over his pitching position - it's likely because it's the only thing that kept him from being completely ignored in middle school.
It's time for the Nishiura vs. Sakitama match! Oyama beats Hanai at rock-paper-scissors, but Oyama, being the wonderful person he is, lets Nishiura pitch first anyway. Because of this Momoe concludes that Sakitama must kind of suck, and that Nishiura will be able to get that called game.
Aaaand the match starts, Sakitama failing to score any points in the first round. Sniff.
It's Sakitama's turn to defend (Ichihara making a little comment about Nishiura being the team that defeated Tosei since Tosei's coach is after all his dad), and Nishiura are being psychotically into it right from the start. Tajima is first and gets on base. He notices that Ichihara's form is kind of off and that he's obviously new at pitching. Ichihara himself is just annoyed at EVERYTHING. Nishiura eventually manages to score the first point and the lame little crowd goes wild! Hanai, having the extreme responsibility of batting fourth, manages to get their second point in. Tajima tells him to not be satisfied with just that, though. Geez.
The Sakitama crowd that seems to consist entirely of Kamimura family members is disappointed in this turn of events, but they keep their chins up as it's DAICHI'S turn to bat! Even if Oyama is before him. Abe and Mihashi get ready for the next round, Abe telling Mihashi not to pay any attention to any potential Sakitama supporters yelling at them.
Oyama bats first, out he goes. It's finally Daichi's turn! Abe and Mihashi put their evil plan into action, and a particular Sakitama-supporting old man is FAR from pleased. The Nishiuralings ignore him though, and Daichi is dejectedly sent off to base despite having looked forward to batting so much. To add insult to the injury, Tajima strikes up a casual chat with Daichi, totally pretending that all is fine and dandy and that they DIDN'T just intentionally walk him. Daichi, being the sweetheart that he is though, is totally cool with Tajima.
Kamimura bats next, and he manages to get both himself and Daichi out. Oyama tells him not to worry about it, though.
Abe proves the full extent of his evilness by making that horrifying face in the upper left here, and Abe's mom arrives on the scene just as it's her son's turn to bat. She tells the other mothers a frightening tale about Abe's dad being just as evil as Abe himself.
MEANWHILE, Ichihara has just about had it up to HERE with having to shake his head at Daichi's signs, Abe being horrified at the idea of the PITCHER deciding how to do things. Abe gets on base, and it's Oki's turn to bat next. Abe throws Daichi completely off balance by stealing a base, Ichihara seething over Daichi's scatterbrained behavior. After struggling a bit with the next batter, Mizutani, he decides to just screw it and walk him. Mihashi is next! How will that go? Who CARES? At this point it's aallll about Sakitama, baby.
