Summary
After Mihoshi scored a homerun, Mihashi goes off to angst in a corner by himself. Abe strolls over and apologizes to him, telling him that Mihoshi taking the lead is all his fault, and at the same time telling him that he worries about Mihashi wanting to return to Mihoshi. Nishiura comes up with an evil plan to make Kano throw a truckload of times, thus tiring him out. Kano kindly asks Hatake if it's okay for him to power up his pitches by kicking him in the nuts. THAT'S OUR KANO!! Tajima manages to hit it, however, since he's Tajima and all, and Nishiura gets another point, making the current score a tie. Tajima skips off to comfort Mihashi and drags him back to the dugout, where he's practically showered with love and concern by his teammates. The inning continues, and Nishiura manages to get another point! They're back in the lead, baby!
Before it's his turn to pitch again, Mihashi tells Abe about his little pitcher's instinct from the previous episode, the one where he somehow knew the ball would be hit. Abe blows up in his face, but he quickly calms down again, glad that Mihashi told him the truth. EITHER WAY, it's Mihoshi's turn to bat again. Will they take the lead again? No, no they won't! Nishiura wins the match!
Nishiura gets ready to leave, but before they do, Mihoshi confront Mihashi, publicly apologizing to him. They even ask him to return to the team... oh fudge, what are you going to do about THAT, Abe? Wait, not to worry, Mihashi decides to stay with Nishiura. Kano seems rather upset that he really won't get to be on his old friend's team anymore, but eventually they all accept it and move on, agreeing on another match sometime in the future.
The following evening back in the cabin, Mihashi falls asleep right there on the floor. Abe wants to dedicate the next three years to Mihashi. Isn't that sweet?
