Summary
Nishiura's back at their baseball grounds! Momoe asks the team what they currently need, and Abe replies with "Another pitcher." This causes a MASS dweeb-out for Mihashi! He wants to be the only pitcher on Nishiura, but Momoe and Abe will have none of it. Momoe explains why more pitchers is muy importante. To cheer Mihashi up, Tajima draws a big ol' number one on the back of his uniform, to remind him that their number one will always be him.
Momoe decides to make Hanai and Oki the backup pitchers, and the fact that they also need another catcher is brought up! This too terrifies Mihashi. With some persuation, Tajima accepts his new role as the backup catcher. After all, he and Mihashi get along remarkably well.
Abe and Mihashi have a talk, and Mihashi tells Abe that he never wants to pitch without Abe being there for him, since without Abe, he's a useless pitcher. Abe heartwarmingly promises him that he won't get sick or injured for the next three years. What is he, a psychic?
Some time later, the whole team gets together again. It's time to select a CAPTAIN! They decide on Hanai, and HANAI decides on Abe and Sakaeguchi as the vice captains.
Cut to May 17! The team is training, and Nishihiro catches his first ball. Shinooka crashes into Mihashi and congratulates him on his birthday! Yes, unfortunately for Mihashi, his birthday falls on the dreaded May 17! Of course, it doesn't matter for him since he's in Japan, so whatever. ANYWAY, the team gathers around Momoe again, and she gives them a lecture on why studying is important. Mihashi and Tajima both have problems at school, so Momoe threatens to not let them play anymore unless they shape up.
SO, Nishiura decides to go study... but where? Mihashi tells them they can come to his big honkin' house. He tells his ma via the magic of cell phones that he's bringing home some friends.
Later, at the Mihashi residence! The team is just about to start studying when a stupid noise is heard! It's Mihashi's ma! Mihashi runs off to greet her, and it turns out that she thought Mihashi had invited his friends because of his birthday, so she'd brought lots of food and stuff with her. However, Mihashi hadn't told anyone that it's his birthday today! When the rest of the team shows up, a few moments of extreme awkwardness ensue (self-made surprise party, anyone?), but Tajima breaks it all up. It's time to PARTY! Abe notices Mihashi's homemade target outside and asks Mihashi if he can take a closer look. When the gang is done stuffing their faces, they stroll outside to do just that! Abe has Mihashi show off his amazing nine-section strike zone and everyone is in awe, until Abe waltzes up and demands that it's time to study!

Whoa. WHOOOAAA. It's THIS episode. Practically the entire Lovefest '07 was redrawn! It was SO redrawn that I made an entire page for it over here, where I posted the most obvious changes. If I were to show everything, I'd be here all freaking day.
