:: Episode 11: Mihashi and Sakaeguchi's Exciting Adventure
Natsu ga Hajimaru (Summer Starts)

Summary

It's time for the summer tournament lottery, where dozens and dozens of teams show up to participate in a drawing to determine who they're going to play against first. Everyone on Nishiura got invited except Oki, Suyama and Nishihiro because they're ugly. Feeling really nervous, Sakaeguchi suddenly NEEDS to go to the bathroom, and Mihashi follows him. This is where the fun begins! Mihashi literally runs into none other than Haruna, followed by Akimaru, and has to sit down and dweeb in a corner due to Haruna's overwhelming presence. Haruna pulls him back up to make sure he's all right. Abe calls! Mihashi yells into his cellphone that Haruna is a GOOD PERSON, which Haruna just so happens to hear. The fact that Mihashi and Sakaeguchi are on Abe's current team is brought up, and Haruna asks them what their team's pitcher is like. Finding out that it is Mihashi, Haruna slaps his shoulder and suggests that both of them should do their best. Mihashi is enthralled!

Mihashi and Sakaeguchi rejoin their teammates, and the drawing BEGINS! Izumi kindly rambles on about the various teams for the people who want to hear. It's eventually Hanai's turn to draw, and he draws... Tosei?! That's right, Nishiura is going to play against last year's champion in their first match! OH WOW!! The majority of Nishiura dweebs out, but Momoe enters to set things straight. From now on, they'll meet up and start training as early as five in the morning! YAY!!!

Back outside, some dweeb who sort of looks like a surfer dude runs up to Mihashi! It's Hamada, a guy in Tajima, Mihashi and Izumi's class. They chat around for a little while before Hamada asks Mihashi if he remembers him. Mihashi eventually does - they lived together in the same building when they were kids and had a lot of fun together playing baseball and everything! Hamada gets to the point - he wants to form a cheering squad for the team!

Best parts

The ENTIRE bathroom scene, particularly Haruna's lecture on when it is and isn't okay to run in the bathroom, Akimaru punching Haruna, Sakaeguchi freaking out over not being able to protect Mihashi, and Haruna being a GOOD PERSON!

Kasukabe!! SENDA!!! Man, I wish we'd gotten to see non-Yoshida ARC people!
